Summer Fun

This past weekend was packed with social activities and outings. First was a visit to Louisiana, a famous modern art museum north of Copenhagen, dinner out with friends Friday followed by an afternoon trip to the Swedish city of Helsingborg before returning to Kronborg Castle in Helsingør to see Shakespeare Saturday. To cap things off, I headed to the electronic music festival StellaPolaris with friends Sunday afternoon. Rather than describe each event, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves…

Louisian Museum of Modern Art. The museum is known for its spectacular location on a bluff overlooking the Øresund.

In addition to its exhibits, the museum is also known for its sculpture park  and minimalist architecture which blends into the landscape.

The museum in the late evening twighlight. We saw an excellent exhibit on Nordic architecture

The Globe Theatre’s production of Shakespeare’s romantic comedy “As You Like It”, Kronborg Castle. This picture was taken BEFORE we were informed no pictures were allowed.

The central courtyard of Kronborg after the play. The production was superb and hilarious!

The silouette of the castle in the moonlight. Oil lanterns were used to light the path leading away from the castle

Thousands of people chilling out to the music. The festival is headed by domestic and international DJs
